WALLPAPERS
Working with the creatives at Samsung’s Headquarter in Seoul, our team at someform Studio ventured into an extensive design development phase in order to help our client find the best visual direction of wallpapers being used for the product release.
Our focus was exploring various different ideas loosely based on the conceptual topic “Minerals / Crystals” and we ultimately produced the final wallpapers & animations for the Samsung S24 and S24 Ultra series.
Samsung S24 Ultra
Working closely with our client we explored a wide range of different concepts and ideas. Through prototyping actual designs, we ensured the visuals were not only aesthetically appealing but also effectively communicated the brand's messaging. It was essential that the designs emphasized the premium quality of the phones while maintaining readability when applied as phone wallpapers.
For the premium Samsung S24 Ultra we created minimalistic crystalline shapes that purely live from refracting the lights around them. The result is a complex play of light and reflection, with subtle color gradients interwoven into the objects.

For the Samsung S24 series we designed a composition consisting of three circular crystal shapes placed into the vertical framing. The playful roundness of the object is contrasted by hints of crystalline structures on their inside.
Intentionally striking a balance between realism and imagination, we used 3D to create the compositions in themselves, but altered geometry and lighting to create a painterly appearance.
