HYPERICE PRODUCT CAMPAIGNS
Over the span of a year, we @ someform Studio produced a substantial part of the product campaigns for the California-based sports-recovery company Hyperice, the leading provider of innovative technology for the recovery, mobility, and improved performance of muscles and joints. An ongoing collaboration with the innovative health technology brand that has resulted in a series of product renderings, animations, and visual effects showcasing their cutting-edge lineup — including the Normatec Elite, Hyperboot, and the X2 Shoulder and X2 Knee devices.
Our partnership began with the launch of the Normatec Elite, for which we created a dynamic visual campaign centered on the evolution of Hyperice’s signature compression technology. Through an intricate one-shot VFX transition and a set of abstract product animations, we emphasized the craftsmanship, materials, and advanced engineering behind the device — setting the tone for future collaborations.
Building on this foundation, we went on to develop a suite of high-end product renders and animations for Hyperice’s wider range of recovery tools. For the collaboration of Hyperice with Nike, resulting in the Hyperboot, we focused on the innovation behind the product, emphasizing the genius technology squeezed into this futuristic looking shoe. For the X2 Shoulder and X2 Knee, we highlighted the interplay between technology and the human body, exploring how intelligent temperature regulation and anatomical form merge in Hyperice’s newest innovations.
Across all these projects, our goal was to create a unified visual ecosystem — a collection of assets that are both technically precise and emotionally engaging. Our visual approach focused on clarity, precision, and restraint — stripping everything down to what truly matters: the product.
Each animation and render was designed within a clean, minimalistic environment that amplifies Hyperice’s craftsmanship and technical sophistication. Rather than creating a single hero film for each product, we built a modular library of shots and assets that could be adapted across multiple channels and campaign needs. Each piece was designed to serve multiple purposes, from global campaign launches to on-site presentations, while maintaining a consistent aesthetic that reinforces Hyperice’s visual aesthetic as a brand.
What began as individual product stories evolved into a unified visual system — one that speaks through simplicity and precision. The result is a consistent aesthetic that not only amplifies Hyperice’s innovation but also serves as a lasting signature of their brand.
A first-of-its-kind wearable solution, the Hyperboot, a collaboration between Hyperice and Nike, designed to enhance athletic preparation and recovery by combining targeted heat therapy with Normatec dynamic air compression for the feet and ankles. Developed as a fully mobile and wearable product, it allows athletes to get game-ready faster and recover more effectively—without being tied to one location or routine—transforming how they approach warm-up and recovery, whether on the move or in between sessions.
Nike and Hyperice—two brands deeply committed to innovation for athletes—have developed a product that blends sleek design with powerful functionality.
HYPERBOOT
Introducing Hyperboot. Warm up fast. Recover strong.
To support the launch, we worked closely with Hyperice to craft a comprehensive suite of visuals that elevated the campaign across both brands’ digital platforms. From product photography and animation to 2D motion graphics and a full-fledged launch film – which we were fortunate enough to co-direct with the incredible people at Panoply – we were excited to assist our client on almost all aspects of this campaign. The result is a visually rich, cohesive set of assets that helped define the campaign’s tone and reach—from behind-the-scenes storytelling to social rollouts and global product reveals.

Based on our history with Hyperice, crafting a majority of their product photography over the past year, our work began with producing a series of images in line with the visual language that we’ve established for the brand. Our focus was on emphasising the Hyperboot’s sculptural design and technical precision, while reflecting the product’s fusion of sportswear aesthetics and medical-grade technology, echoing Nike’s iconic design language while emphasizing Hyperice’s health-tech innovation.
From material textures to functional contours, the product photography aims to highlight the key details that make the product stand out, while maintaining an overall creative approach to the minimal visual language.
Our goal was to create a versatile library of shots for the client's diverse marketing needs, while also producing a cohesive and engaging edit. We captured everything from close-ups of zippers, textiles, and excellent craftsmanship to demonstrating the device's functionality and inflation process. The result is a set of assets that are equally effective when used independently across various marketing materials or combined into a compelling edit.

Chris Hoffmann (Normatec Edit)
Our first collaboration with Hyperice evolved around one of their flagship products: The Normatec Elite, a scientifically backed dynamic air compression massage device. We developed an abstract animated sequence that spotlights the individual features and craftsmanship of the product, and contributed the visual effects to a live-action piece that transitions from the old to the new device.
The images and animations intend to give an inspiring insight into the meticulous work and innovative development that goes into every Hyperice product. By focusing on the quality and precision of the Normatec Elite, we were aiming to convey the brand's commitment to excellence in a visually captivating way.
NORMATEC
In addition to the abstract animated sequence, we collaborated with director Christopher Sims and the talented team at Hyperice crafting the visual effects for a transition from the old to the new Normatec Elite. This updated version gets rid of the separate control unit, being the most advanced and fully integrated Normatec thus far.
The concept was to create a seamless one-shot transformation from the old Normatec to its updated version. This involved matchmoving the live-action shot, developing 3D elements and simulations, and seamlessly compositing everything together. The end result is a conceptually bold motion asset that effectively communicates the updates on Hyperice’s marketing channels.
NORMATEC VFX
Similar to our approach with the Normatec Elite, we developed a flexible library of modular shots — from intimate macro details to broader demonstrations of functionality — giving Hyperice a versatile set of assets for campaign launches, product education, and retail environments. The result is a cohesive visual package that communicates both the technical sophistication and the human-centered design philosophy behind the X2 lineup.
For the X2 Knee and X2 Shoulder devices, our focus shifted towards illustrating the interplay between advanced technology and human anatomy. We created a series of animations that highlight the devices’ intelligent temperature-regulation system and the way each component conforms to the body with precision. By exploring details such as material layers, internal cooling and heating mechanics, and the ergonomic fit, we aimed to express the science and engineering embedded in these next-generation recovery tools.
